Link to Monastary Beach on Google Maps 1. Take Highway 1 south out of Monterey, towards Carmel.
2. Monastary Beach is 1/2 mile before you reach Point Lobos State park (just north of Point Lobos).
3. The beach is directly on Highway 1, park on the southbound side and car pool if possible.
4. If you reach to Point Lobos State Park you have gone to far! |

Everyone is invited to join us for a BBQ on the beach! We will have dinner, drinks, and a fire while we enjoy the sunset over the beautiful Pacific Ocean.

Link to 9th Street Gate on Google Maps From Best Western Monterey/San Francisco/San Jose/Los Angeles:
1. From Highway 1 South (CA-1) take the "Del Monte Avenue" exit 402B
2. Follow the signs to Del Monte Avenue and turn left on Sloat Ave.
3. Turn left at stop sign to enter 9th Street Gate.
From Monterey Peninsula Airport:
1. Upon leaving immediate vicinity of Passenger Terminal, Olmstead Road bears to the right, away from runway.
2. Take first right onto Garden Road.
3. Take Garden Road westbound for approx. 2 miles to first stop light and make a left onto Mark Thomas Drive.
4. Proceed on Mark Thomas Drive for approx. ¾ mile to first traffic light.
5. Take a right onto Sloat Avenue.
6. Turn right at stop sign to enter 9th Street Gate. |
