The Monterey Jazz Festival coincides with our wedding.  We have found that even 9 months out many of the hotels in Monterey are already booked solid.  We reserved a block of rooms at the Best Western Beach Resort for guests that need a room for Friday and Saturday nights.  We got an amazing deal of $209 per night for the rooms; most other places in Monterey will be $300-$500 per night.  Please book early, they only allowed us to reserve 20 rooms and once they are gone the price will go up (if they still have rooms available).  If you wait to book your lodging you will most likely be staying 20-30 miles away.

www.expedia.com will be the best bet if the Best Western is outside your budget or if you only need a room for Saturday night.
